Whirl wind weekend and week so far!

Tuesday, May 28, 2013

This weekend was busy, I was doing GREAT up until Sat when we were out all day at the renewal of the vows ceremony followed by the reception at a banquet hall with dinner quite late, dancing and a sweet table! I only got home after 12 am! Then Sunday was busy and I had to work on my columns and articles! Yesterday was spent working on my manuscript which is in the last stages, and I did not eat well yesterday!

I have a cold and allergies flaring up ( no wonder) and so now I am ready to knuckle down and TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!!

Deadlines are all met and the column for the local newspaper is in and edited and they will let me know when it will be published!

I did get a little bit of time to do some gardening and guess what I found when I pulled all the weeds out! A DUCK NEST!!!!
There are about 7 eggs in the nest, I AM GOING TO BE A GRAND DUCK!

Here is a pic of some of the Hawaiian dancing at the wedding renewal reception. ( 25 yrs)
That is the "bride" in the middle! Isn't she awesome! She teaches Hawaiian dancing!

So what is next?
I have my mother in law coming to stay this weekend and I have to get the house ready and pack away the last of the camping stuff!

So I will be busy!

AND trying to stick to healthy choices!

One day at a time right girls?

Way to go meeting your deadlines and congrats on becoming a grand duck LOL!
Take it one day at a time, look after yourself and get over that cold. Lots of green tea and some local honey for the allergies.

Thanks Mel, I think you helped me out with how to celebrate tomorrow... I won't be doing any Hawaiian dancing, but writing a renewal poem for my DH might just be the ticket I need to mark this date happily and in my own way. Thank you thank you thank you (oh, and see my blog if you want to know what I'm talking about LOL)

Love the duck.... congratulations, hope all hatch well. We had a Moose and her brand new baby calf (born sometime yesterday) by our front gate last night. Wish I'd have seen them, but DH and his students did... pretty cool!
