31 weeks till New Year's

Another week down, and I lost 5.4 lbs. My goal was to lose 2 lbs a week, and get to 178 by New Year's. This gives me a little buffer, and I hope to add to it next week, and get down to 234 ( lose 2.8 ). So I am at 236.8 this morning, and feeling good. I took a 30 minute walk already and had my 5 eggs w butter, and a 4 oz cup of applesauce, Lunch is 8 ozs. of ground beef, and a 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top. Supper is as always b/s chicken thighs with tomatoes, but I substituted green beans instead of onion, and mushrooms. The green beans have more fiber, which I need.

I have been having foot pain for a day or two, in the morning ( gout ). Nothing major, and it goes away, but today i was pain free, and I think it was a mini-cheat I had on Saturday night. My brother switched to low carb on Sunday, so we had a cheat after he got off work, and started the next morning. Stupid, but I still lost 5 lbs this week, and he is eating healthier. Anyways, my foot feels fine, and hopefully it stays that way. It is the first foot pain at all that I have had since March 20, 2012.

So I am also back to exercising. My kidney stone passed, and the pain associated is gone too. Supposed to be hot and sunny by the weekend, so I am going to go work on my sunburn, because the pool opened this weekend.

Only bad news is that our car is being dropped off right now. I just put $800 into the brakes, and sway bar links. In October of last year they changed the pads and a rotor for $267, and this time they changed them for free, but had to do the other rotor, and the calipers, and the rattling in my front end was supposedly sway bar links. We got that done, and now the brakes are grinding again, and the front end rattles louder. Hopefully, they can get it fixed today. The guy think it is just a problem with the brake pad, and he can fix that. We'll see what he finds with the rattling.

Hopefully everything works out, and I can enjoy the day. Not sure if the baseball game will be rained out, but if so, rainy weather is perfect for reading, and napping.

    I hate dealing with gout. If I eat sugar, I have it flair up. I have psoriasis again as well.

    Glad you got rid of that kidney stone. I really feel for you having to go through that. Cool about your brother too. :) You're doing so well! I can't believe 31 weeks until New Year's? Really? Good lawd! That makes it sound so close!

    Yeah Alisha. That and popping back up over 300. He's getting an accounting degree, and wants to look good for interviews for an internship. That's in December, so he's hoping to get below 250. We have laws against discriminating against people who are fat, but it still happens.

    I am so glad to see you blogging. I am so sorry you had one of those nasty kidney stones, my Dad gets those.

Thats very interesting about your brother now doing low carb. I remember you had mentioned that he did a different diet but you were losing more weight, I bet that was his inspiration to try it.
