today marks 8 full weeks of eating better and exercising!!! and i still feel like i'm going strong, woohoo!!
today also marks the halfway point in stage 1 of NRFL4W.. 8 workouts done, 8 to go, then i have 1 week off before starting stage 2. i already feel like i'm making huge strength improvements, and i'm at the point where i'm really enjoying strength training! it used to be the workout that i would most likely skip, but i am sticking to my schedule and lifting HEAVY!
yesterday, i biked 11K... i planned 10K, but i went faster than last time, so i had time leftover, and decided to do just a little bit more before heading back home. i felt like i could have gone even farther, but i had to be back home in time to babysit my friend's children. it really felt great!! still working up to biking 15K. and then i walked 5K yesterday afternoon. it was a gorgeous sunny day, not too hot, and everything was great.. except for a blister i got on the side of my foot... ouch.
had a healthy meal last night... red lentil Dahl, brown rice, cauliflower and fiddle heads. yum. leftovers for lunch today. picked up some cherries and strawberries for snacking, also made a new batch of hummus. planning to chop a bunch of veggies for dipping today.. hopefully enough to last the whole week, and then i'll have no excuses there either ;P
this weekend, we are travelling. i get to meet my newest nephew for the first time! but it also means car trip food, some eating out, a family bbq, probably not alot of exercise. i need to pack healthy things!
