The dress that caused a 2.6 lb pound weight loss

Tuesday, May 28, 2013

This is my daughter's prom dress. This dress caused me to take a break from the day and go on the treadmill, go for a walk, etc just to come back and make sure the instructions were really understood by me. In my sleep I was dreaming about this dress. Running back and forth to find matching shoes, and then finally realizing that I can cover the shoes in fabric and they would be a perfect match. Well they turned out fine and the dress did also. I was stressing for nothing, but it did cause me to take out the frustration on my fitness routine and drink lots of water. My Daughter made the mask. I can say it all worked out and I am glad it is over. Her dad said give her what she wants she's our only girl and she got what she wanted and what do you know I got some pounds lost out of it also.

emoticon emoticon Love the dress and the shoes great idea!!
Both you and your daughter have great talents. That dress is better than any dress that you can buy at a store because it was made by love and for a special person in your life.

Also emoticon on your weight loss while making her dress. A lot of people would have turned to food under stress. Keep up the good work!!

Great job! It looks beautiful, and she does, too! I'm sure that dress will mean a lot more to her than one that you might have purchased, too. And how nice that it spurred a nice loss of pounds, too.

Beautiful & I love the idea with shoes. God has blessed you with wonderful talents and it is great to see when people put such talents to great use. I remember my grandma making our clothes and I must say I miss that as she has been gone about 14 years, though it had been years before her death since she was last able to sew. Those handmade clothes are so much more special as they are much more likely to be 1 of a kind. Congratulations on such a successful job. emoticon
