Starting Today!

This is certainly not the first time I am starting. I have been overweight ever since I can remember. I have tried diets, exercising, yoga...nothing with persistence though. Some barrier always finds a way through - an exam, a new city, a new job, a new project, a fight at home, baby being cranky, a day of illness, a day of celebration!!

Post having my first baby, weight is at an all-time high and I must change that now - I want to take control of my life and health and be able to play with my son without the pains and aches!
To wear what I want to, to look the way I want to and to feel the way I want to - here is my list of small steps which I will do for a week and add changes in every subsequent week:

a) drinking 8 glasses of water (there are days when I forget to have even one)
b) climbing stairs to my 3rd floor apartment atleast once a day
c) any form of physical exercise for 30 mins

I am someone who has always craved for motivation, lacking which I failed so many times previously. This time, for every 5 pounds I lose, I will reward myself - ofcourse it has to be a non-food reward!

At 33, with a full time job and baby to manage, it is not going to be easy - but for once I want to start not hoping for overnight miracles and taking the small steps that can make a difference.
