Whew! The hosting weekend was less a problem than I thought it would be. Our guests brought some goodies to share, but for the most part they weren't out of line. There were some great whole grain rolls, and since I had planned whole grains as part of our breakfast, it was easy to include them. Their gift basket of treats had tea and coffee along with two jams, honey, spiced nuts, and biscotti. I did have one biscotti (no frosting, about 1/4 cup in size) and some nuts.
Exercise was more problematic than foods. Our guests were happy to take casual walks, but not as far or as fast as I would have preferred. However, I feel like any movement was good, and I did do well the previous week and am back on track today with both exercise, again with 5 pound weights while walking, and healthy eating.
I am determined to continue getting rid of pounds and developing the healthy lifestyle I know will keep me in good shape for the rest of my life. I can't say that yet I have been able to get into smaller clothes, but I can say that my clothes feel looser, so that's a start. And it feels good!!
