This is our grandson, Spencer McCutcheon. This was taken at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. He is presently in Tennessee on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, waiting for his visa to arrive so he can go to the mission he was called to in Brazil.
Have you ever wanted to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel" and never had the opportunity or else have and know how very important it is to spread the truth and the word of the Lord to those less fortunate? Spencer has wanted to do this from the time he was a young child. When he was only 3 or 4 he would say, "I'm going on a mission". That day came in February of this year 2013.
He worked hard not only mentally, but spiritually and physically to prepare for his mission. He was completely prepared all except for one thing and that was the full price of the mission. He was able to earn and save enough money to get him on his mission plus a few months. He trusted the Lord that somehow he would be able to fulfill his mission and it would be paid for.
His parents really want to provide the needed $400 a month that is required to pay for the rest of his mission, starting the first of June, but are really struggling financially. DS has a full time job as well as 2 part time jobs and often works a graveyard shift on top of a day shift to try to make ends meet and DDL as well works full time babysitting.
As his grandmother and grandfather, we have committed to a small portion but it isn't nearly enough to sustain our grandson for the remaining year and 10 months that he will be on his mission. If there are any of our family and friends who would be willing to contribute to this most worthy cause above all, to "Go and Preach the gospel", please message me. Thank you for your consideration.
We so love our family and friends and I know God blesses those who give from their heart whether it be prayers or monetarily.
