Alternate Day Diet- JUDDD-Day 1

I'm just starting this ADD today. This would be my first DD. I made a great chicken and veggie stew. Very hardy, packed with veggies and yummy goodness. Keeping it simple. No problem at all keeping my calorie count under 500. I'm going to see how this goes over the next couple of weeks.

    Hi there,

I have been reading a lot about the JUDDD diet. I would like to try and get started tomorrow. I did the online calculator, and it said my DD would be approx. 550 and my UD should be around 2000. Considering I don't ever eat 2000 cals, I will just eat as I would normally eat on my UD.
Do you have any updates on your JUDDD diet progress? I would love to hear how you are doing...

    It's as flexible, or inflexible, as you choose to make it. I don't like to be hungry, so here's what I did:
Up Day ("Enough" Day): 2x per week. 1200-1500 calories
Medium Day: 900-1199 calories. 4x per week.
Down Day: 700-899 calories. 1x per week. (I didn't like these. Not enough food for me.)
JUDDD Day: Under 500 calories. never. Didn't do 'em.
Splurge Day: 1500-200 calories. Once a month or so.
Binge Day: Over 2000 calories. Never.

I lost 60 pounds between Sept 2010 and Sept 2011. Went from a size 22 to a size 6. Have mostly maintained since then, even in spite of peri-menopause beginning. Weight fluctuates a little, but, I'm still in a size 6.

    I always have problems the the alternate day bit, it's so inflexible. I end up trying to eat normally on my karate days, which is impossible, then fasting on days when I don't have enough to do!. So I kind of try to fast on my karate days, Monday and Wednesday, then add an extra on Friday or Saturday. Except of course this week, when Monday was a Bank Holiday, and I was out socialising! emoticon

But I hope it works well for you. Each to his own. emoticon
