Holiday weekend in review

I got on the scales this morning. Although not an official weigh-in day, I didn't want to put it off until tomorrow. I wanted to face the consequences while it was fresh on my mind (and hips and waist).

Almost three pounds up from last week's weigh -in.

I attribute it not so much the quantity but I ate stuff I don't normally eat . . . like BBQ ribs, baked beans, rice, bread. And lots of fruit, watermelon, cantalope, strawberries.

emoticon I did not measure what I ate, but I did not over eat.
I ate what I wanted. Full but not stuffed. (HUGE NSV!)

emoticon I had only one dessert - blackberry cobbler.

emoticon No potato chips or potato/macaroni salad or cookies or candy or pie or ice cream.

I am happy with the weekend over all. I know these pounds will drop when I get back into my 'normal' eating and working out mode tomorrow.

emoticon My SparkAdventure has given me powerful tools for success.
It has trained me how to make better choices.

It has proven to me that maintaining within my weight range is something I am capable of doing. Something I can live with for the rest of my life.

    I like the way you concentrate on what you achieved (like skipping the chips) and that you're taking the weight gain in stride. You know what you need to do, and how to do it. Go you!

  Great Blog. You done an Excellent Job with Your Food Choices. The Weight Gain will come off in no time. Part of it could be water gain too.     I love the holiday weekends but it is always
nice to get back to a normal routine. You gave
yourself a chance to enjoy a few summer items
and did pretty good with choices. It should be fine.

    Excellent analysis! You will get rid of those three pounds this week no problem.

Way to go on skipping potato chips, macaroni salad, cookies etc. I would have had a hard time with that on a holiday weekend.
