UGH! Today, I stepped on the scale and noticed it is on a slightly upward trajectory. UNCOOL scale. UNCOOL! So I decided that at 4 weeks post partum I would start counting calories and making sure that I am within a healthy range. (It would be unwise to start now as I am still building up milk supply). I tracked a few days in a row, and I have been eating more than 2300 calories a day. NO WONDER I'm gaining weight! Yuck.
I'm not on metformin since I'm breastfeeding- so my body is a bit topsy turvy. But I will not let this derail my weightloss goals.
I need to find my new happy place for calories now that I'm making milk, but I can say it's not 2300 calories :)
