Not much going on

Monday, May 27, 2013

Went back to the same church and was welcomed just as warmly. Nice to feel like you belong... They will be having a lunch in a couple weeks, that will be a nice Sat. afternoon. Then took m-i-l shopping, why it takes 5 hrs I don't know, I know it doesn't when she takes a cab, but she wants to spend the time with her son. Well, she. did puppysit Buddy while we went to the theatre. She knows we're going to PEI for a few days to see my mother, so she's getting a little concerned about that already.
But, she paid $15 for a raincoat for Buddy. Yes, I know it's her money, but doesn't anyone else think that is quite extravagant? I know I watch my pennies, but maybe I overdo it....

Went to Employment Centre and applied for a govt clerical job today. Cold an dreary here again. I told Buddy I would take him for a walk, so I should. We took him to the oval and threw sticks and walked him last nite. Did I ever mention his cheapest new toy...empty water bottles. They have a great crackle to them and he can get his little mouth around them, if you take the cap off. Funny little guy...

I finished the toque with earflaps Sat. nite, and knitted a little tam type hat last nite...keeping busy... should go finish my book, been slow reading lately. guess I needed a break...

yep it sounds like an extravagant little rain coat but not knowing how cold your rain is out there and what type of might be sensible.
I have a couple of friends that have yorkshire terriers. Small little things, and they have winter jackets and rain jackets for the winters here on the west coast. They were told by the vets to get them because their little bodies do not hold heat very well when out walking in winter and rain. So maybe it is not so extravagant after all?

Hope you are doing well, my friend! emoticon

Yes, actually, I think $15 is a lot for a raincoat for a dog. I can understand that some of the smaller ones may need *winter* coats, but dogs are capable of getting wet without melting! emoticon emoticon

Hope you have a good trip to PEI and a nice visit with your mother. Getting dr. appts out of the way is a good thing as well.

It's been cold and rainy here too. Like you, I have knitting projects and books that I have been putting off finishing. Just not in the mood. I want the sunshine back.
