Swimsuit shopping

Monday, May 27, 2013

Omigosh! (if you know me, I hardly ever use that unless I'm *really* excited) I had to go get a new swimsuit 'cause all my others are old and faded and a little too loose to be secure once I get in the water (didn't want to flash anyone) and I found out from trying them on, I lost a whole two sizes from the last time I went suit shopping. Now I know, I kind of like loose comfortable clothing so I still wear 2/3x but my suit? It needs to be nice and body conforming so that I don't feel like it's falling off in the pool (ok, ok, I never go to the pool, it's really a lake or a pond or a creek that I go dipping into) But I almost hollered for joy in the fitting room when I realized that the 2x was actually hanging off of me! I know I've been trying to be more consious of myself for about a year now, and sparkpeople has helped with that a LOT since I signed up (quite a bit after I first started saying "ok, time to slim down") but I'm sooooo glad now, I fit into a 1x swimsuit COMFORTABLY. Though I'm not so sure about the only suit style I like and size combination being bright pink... I'll wear this one for now and hope they get another black one in my size soon!

That's awesome! I say rock that bright pink swimsuit! I was always one to hide behind black myself, but people seem to like colors. I think bright colors are the way to go.
