I started to watch. I had a mix feeling. Seems similar to the marketing movies or commercials. Some truth, mixed with stupid things. Difficult to decipher what is truth and what is just media hype.
I'm interested about the intentions of the director. What did s/he wanted to achieve?
Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

I haven't seen this movie, but I watched Food Inc. which was amazing. I have issues, not so much with the genetic modifications, or the lack of labeling, but with Monsanto's politics. They have a problem with suing farmer's whose crops are contained by neighbor's Monsanto genetic crops. Same with Round Up, which has genetically modified corn, and owns about 90% of the American corn.

If you haven't seen it, Food Inc. is right up your alley!

Thank you for the link; I just watched the entire compelling film. And I've written to my senator and made a contribution to Food Democracy Now.

Monsanto OWNS both of my senators, alas!

Monsanto gets a lot of good PR here in St. Louis for what they do...donations to this and that. That is very good. BUT, I want them to label their food. We have to know what we are eating. The food is labeled in Europe. What is wrong with us in the U.S.? I was also surprised by the Supreme Court decision against that farmer. I do not think that is fair. Farmers have always replanted their seeds. That's what farmers do, but I guess Monsanto thinks it can change thousands of years of tradition.

I want to watch that movie, but it's over an hour and I cannot watch it tonight. Thank you for the link to it.

I won't be able to squeeze this one in for a couple weeks but thanks for the offer. I follow this issue pretty closely. I think that if Monsanto had to label their foods more honestly (like genetically modified, sprayed with such and such pesticide, etc.) rather than organic farmer's having to jump through hoops to be called organic, our food world would crack wide open.
So glad the farmers' markets started again here in Chicago.

Monsanto has a very bad rep. It seems they have it all sown up with the government giving protective laws for them.
