I've really struggled with the run/walking for a couple years now. I did do it a little back 2 or 3 years ago but i came down with a mild case of plantar fascittis. Not from run/walking but walking in very nonsupportive sandals a lot. I know not a good idea and i dont' recommend it. Since then though the plantar has been okay. (knock on wood.) So i'm going to try ever so slowly a run/walking program for a 10k for 10 weeks. I'm really excited because i've wanted to do this but let the fact that i am 100 pounds overweight stop me. I will take it slowly and see how it goes. If i feel i can't continue i won't,. Simple as that. and i of course will stretch and all that too.
