I grew up in Northern California; I have family that lives in the bay area, and my grandfather lived in San Francisco before for moving to Sacramento. I can't tell you how old I was when I first saw this magnificent landmark, but I can tell you that I never get tired of seeing it, EVER!
One of my favorite things to do is play "tourist" in my own state. I'm starting a new photography series called "America the Beautiful" and some of these photos will be included in that series.
A semi-close-up of the bridge.
Fort Point, at the foot of the bridge. It guarded the San Francisco bay for many, many years!
It was such a beautiful day!
From the "One is never enough category"...
This fishing boat was just outside Point Bonita Lighthouse. Sadly the light house was closed. But I'm sooo glad I hiked down there anyway, where this beauty was waiting for me to take her portrait
