I made it to day 7 (heaves sigh of relief). It's been a rough and even annoying first week, because it requires cooking the recipes that are laid out for the each day. I've made so many different things that my freezer and fridge are bursting. I'm so busy cooking stuff up that I forget to stop and snack, and once I eat one meal, I'm on to prepping for the next. I feel like I'm ALWAYS in the kitchen. And I hate cooking:)
Part of this is because I'm also taking care of a little one. So I'm really only cooking for 5 minutes at a time, before I'm off to change a diaper or feed her or do something that takes more time than I realize. Then back to cooking for a few minutes. Then off again. It's definitely taking a toll on my patience, and I'm REALLY going to have to get myself in a good, solid mind frame for this next week. Cause right now, I'm feeling a burned out in the kitchen.
On the more positive end of things - I weighed myself and am 2 lbs. lighter!!! THAT made me smile. I didn't expect it, and almost forgot to weigh myself again. I've been tracking my calories and watching my portions. I do like that I'm eating different varieties of foods, too, including a lot of veggies and fruits. I can feel how it gives me much more energy than I've had in awhile. Which inspires me to stick it out, and hope that this next week is a little bit easier!
Yesterday was one of the most beautiful days that we've had up here all year (I'm in Alaska). So we were running around and enjoying it! The day got away from me with that and cooking (grumble/curse). I didn't have time to do the cardio - we walked, but I'm supposed to do 35 or 40 minutes of something that I haven't done this week. I made yesterday my day of 'rest' and am doing the work out today.
Well. It IS very effective, and seems to be working! I'm sticking with it. Gotta get my grocery list rounded up for week 2!
