Day 1 of my S.S. Makeover

Today's goal:
1. Make grocery list for this weeks S.S. menu
2. Follow the menu and track all food.
3. AF today
4. Get S.S. work out in
5. Weigh and measure myself
6. Get ready for tomorrow, when I will do it all again. (Only at mom's for cook out. YIKES!) No excuses, today is still the starting day, only I know she will make me feel bad for starting a "diet" the day before going to her house.

How am I feeling: ANXIETY!! Anxiety about number 3, and thinking that my family will not be willing to change our normal weekly menu of spaghetti, tacos and hamburgs. I hope I do not have to fight with them about this... but I am sure that I will.

Weekly change: This week I am going to swap grains, with whole grains.

    S.S. - Spark Solution. Bought the book and today is day 1.... going good so far.
A.F. - Is Alcohol Free. I do love me some wine. Gotta cut that out!

    What is AF?

I got a copy of SS, but it is not user friendly for those of us who can't do the workout routine.I am disabled and I have to do things within my abilities. Their workout does not allow for this (Too fast and strenuous for someone with disabilities.
The other thing for me was the HUGE grocery list! The amount of food they list for ONE week is almost what I can afford for a MONTH! I have been able to follow a healthy eating plan, and get all the proper nutrition within my budget. I just can't make "special" recipes every day!

My only concern for you is that you don't try to change too many things at once. Be careful that you don't set yourself up to be discouraged!
Thats why I like the four week plan here on the SP site. It gives you a chance to make changes slowly so that you see accomplishment not failure. I have made all the changes this way, and now it is all second nature!

  Regardless of when you eat it (before or after exercise), breakfast helps speed up your metabolism and can aid in weight loss. Enjoying foods high in protein, complex carbs and healthy fats will help you avoid the temptation of the vending machine before lunch.
