Week 1 of 6

I did not meet my goals for this first week. I started to hit the rewind button but decided not to. I want to give myself an accurate picture. So this week was a learning week for me. Here is what I learned.
1. Do my research before I hit the grocery store. If I want to get more fiber and protein in my diet then wouldn't it make since to find information on increasing fiber and protein in your diet? I went to the store and bought my same old groceries. What made me think that was going to change my nutrition habits!!!!
2. Just Do It. Even on the days I don't feel like it. If I make a commitment to other people I honor that commitment whether I feel like it or not. I will get up and go. If I told a friend that I will meet you at the gym every day this week, it would take something drastic for me not to go. So, why wouldn't I keep that same promise to myself? Shouldn't I be a friend to myself and keep my word that I will exercise even on the days that I don't feel like it? YES
I did have my resume and transcripts analyzed and had to change a few things. I appreciated the advice.
I am so glad I did not hit the rewind button. It gave me a chance to reflect on this week and make true lasting changes. Well we will have to see about that. Anyway,
