we really like to measure things in numbers.

our weight... this proves how loveable we are, I suppose
our spark points,
fitness minutes,
blogging and reading...

funny how the numbers sometimes don't stack!

    I guess it's not really about the numbers, but they do reflect progress....they can play tricks with your head though! Especially that darn scale! I track them, so I can monitor where I am, where I want to be, and if I'm on track to get there! Now that I have arrived though, I'm using them to stay's almost more daunting than ever!

    So true and one number that thankfully I've gotten over, is the number on the scale. If I was expecting a loss and it didn't happen, I'd really go into a tail spin. Not so much anymore as I realize it's "just a number" at this point in time and it will fluctuate up and down.

Hope your numbers are all what you want them to be and if they are not, then they soon will be because I know you are doing things right.

    Yes, I think we are hard-wired to try to find explanations for everything and to track our statistics. I get a bizarre childish pleasure out of watching the Spark Wheel spin!

    So very true! I am now focused on the following numbers:

my blood sugar count
my weight loss
and exercise minutes.

    I hear that. I guess we have to change our perception. It's not so much about our worth, but learning to do things that will enable our bodies to do more because we are healthier. It's not really about being super models or being lovable or we could get there doing unhealthy things that would mean nothing in the end.
