Sitting in ER with head injury :( update from home

Saturday, May 25, 2013

Half of Memorial Day weekend was fine until my 4 yr old took off to find her aunt at the picnic I was on my bike going after her and the left pedal came clean off and my head hit the pavement full force, I def saw little spots first face I see is my Sophia crying asking if I was ok then my husband got the bike off of me and my sil got me a bag of ice then I started having problems focusing my eyes while in Walmart and then in the line two small siezures now here at er 3 more :(
Hope the siezures aren't permanent :(
Update no bleed on brain, 8 seizures all together last night and this morning in my sleep, at home with concussion and whiplash have to take my anti seizure meds for at least 2 weeks till the concussion is resolved. Praying that the seizure end when the tender softball bump on the back of my head goes away
Off and on dizzy
Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes
Reminder to all wear a helmet when on a bike you never know when you'll fall down.

emoticon Yikes - a lot of seizures after head injuries are just temporary because the brain sloshes around in the skull. Hope this is what's happening to you.

head injuries are serious, good thing you didn't just shrug it off and lay down, best thing to get checked out at the ER

Hope and pray that they seizures are temporary and you will be home soon. Just remember that they may keep you and that is a good thing because then if you have another seizure then they can give you meds to stop them and also check on you through the night.
