Don't just sit there

Another article telling us about the dangers to our bodies from sitting.
But what are you supposed to do? Most of us who work in an office environment are cubicle rats sitting at company issue office furniture. Hoe does one approach their boss about purchasing a special desk, just for you?
Now for the low low price of $1195 (US). The Winston Churchill:
I have one at home. It was originally just a decorative piece in our foyer, but I begged like a child until It was given to me. I personally like it, but I admit to having and using a tall stool for it about a third of the time.
Today, I set out for my run from the hotel. I thought I would run to Downtown Boulder and back. Google maps said it was about 3.4 miles one way. OK. But I must have made a wrong turn because when I made the turn to come home, my Garmin read 5.08 miles. That meant of course another 5.08 miles back. So my 6+ mile run became a 10 miler.
It was a nice day for a 10 mile run.
WHen I got back, we all went out to look at a couple of place where Dave & Carolyn would like to live. I spent most of my time in the back seat because we all know what happens to a baby when you put them in the car.
And there is a rule: DON'T WAKE THE BABY!
After an Indian lunch and too much sitting listening to the Orioles/Blue Jays game on the MLB app on the iPhone. I took out one of the complimentary bikes that the Hotel has and went back up to town to the Runners Expo. Boy are those bike crap.
And now the kids are out on a date and I have the doors to our rooms, across the hall from each other open as Colin sleeps.
You could say I am babystanding because while the hotel does not provide a stand up desk, this one does have a kitchenette and the counter are almost tall enough to qulifiy.
