Oh today was fun!!!
I went to bed around 11:30, and was up at 8. I didn't get up at all, and felt well-rested.
We went and did a little shopping, then came home to wait for my friend to come over so we could go to the zoo.
A lot of people had the same idea, and the parking lot was packed. It took almost as long to get into the lot as it did to drive there!
We went in and found our other friends who had driven separately. Off we went!
We lost my sister, nephew and his buddy almost immediately, as they want to go slower. I would have like to go slower too, but they others were 'go, go, go.'
We did get to see the bear cubs that are at the zoo, and saw almost every exhibit. The 2 younger boys wanted ice cream, and I splurged on some too.
After about 2 hours the others were ready to go, so we found out where my sister was and went back to join them and walked more. We saw the rain forest exhibit that we had skipped over, and I am so glad we did! So many beautiful birds in there!
So we spent about 4 hours at the zoo. I had my tracker on and we walked 3.5 miles. The route is all zig-zaggy. LOL
It was dinner time by then, so we picked up my other sister and went for pizza. I have gone over calories again, but so what?
After relaxing for a bit, I decided to go out for a walk. Just a short one, but I had so much energy I walked pretty fast, at least for me.
Tomorrow I might go with them to do a hike, but I'll have to see how my knee is. Part of the way is down a hill and then back up, and I don't know if I'd make it.
