My plateau busting strategy for today was to change out my cardio exercise. My exercise consists of gardening and yard work. This past week I cleaned up an unsightly area of weeks, dug up the ground, planted a new rose bed and mulched the roses. This was i addition to weeding and hoeing in the vegetable garden and dragging around long resistant hoses to water numerous flowers and shrubs around the property. This is certainly doing things at intervals and the work changes daily. I am getting lost of Vitamin D from all that sunshine and I have a problem with a low Vitamin D and need a supplement usually. It has the added benefit of beautifying my yard and getting me to do a great deal of walking as we have a huge vegetable garden and now 5 flower beds as well as numerous newly planted shrubs and trees to care for. We were in the path of a tornado a couple of years ago and this is my first chance to feel good enough to do the garden work I love. The work has paid off as I have gained a beautiful yard and lost about 4 pounds in the past 2 weeks! And some people think gardening shouldn't count as exercise!
