Go Girl Run 5K 2013!

Saturday, May 25, 2013

It's hard to type with a cat on your hand, but I will do my best... his head is on my left hand and my right arm is on top of him...

So anyway, considering my training has been thrown off by stress, short sleep and illness, I came in at a respectable 30:38! (117 of 516 overall=22.7%, 8 of 38 in females aged 45-49=21.1% & 99/480 women=20.1%)

Numbers done, here are the pix!

An artful arrangement of my accoutrements...

Before the race, but my plan wasn't to walk!

My Boston Shirt

Crossing the finish line @ 30:38! (the timer started for the concurrent half marathon, which I plan to run next year! My friend Kayla ran that in 2:00:14, I am so proud of her!!)

So that is the story! The first half mile was all up hill, but it was great after that. No records broken, but #5 under my belt in as many months. I have my eye on my June race already, cannot wait!

Now to relax for the long weekend! Next week puts me in the office for one day, then gone for training the next 3! Then off to Army summer training for the next 2 weeks. Crazy summer! I guess I can relax somewhere around July 4th!
