Moving Does Help

Saturday, May 25, 2013

When I'm cranky.
When I'm gloomy.
When I'm stiff.
When I wanna eat right now.
When I HAVE eaten right then, and not the right stuff.
When I'm bored.
When I feel like a coiled spring (thanks for that image, Barb!)
When I'm tense.
When I'm overwhelmed.

Even sometimes when I think I'm tired . . . but I'm not really.

Moving does help. After I've done it.

Breathing deeply and stretching help get the blood flowing so we may think more clearly. :)

I like the coiled spring also. I like your poem. Movement does help. I keep wondering why I have stiffness despite the fact that I exercise and workout routinely. I fear it is age. LOL. Great ending. You always feel better afterwards.

I just read how the average sedentary woman at may have lost 15 pounds of muscle by the time she reaches late 50s, a change that could cause her to gain nearly the same amount in body fat. More reason to keep exercising and keep that muscle mass.

Movement particularly helps me when I think I'm tired -- sometimes I think I get tired of not moving!

Brilliant! I thought I had also commented on the first *free verse,* which also spoke deeply to me (but I don't see me!).
