making progress without deprivation

I loved TIME2BLOOM4ME's blog today. It gave me so many ways to measure progress besides the 16 pounds I have lost since February.

I eat scarce amounts of mucus producing foods and lots of foods that eliminate it. I eat TNF bananas. I practice the practice of happy people.

It really does make a difference to be focused on health. I dont feel like Im in a program so much as not wandering in a fog. Intentional eating means putting some effort into choosing healthy foods.

The difference between now and last winter was during my last contract, I fed when hungry, but planned very little. Next contract starting in two weeks, It can go two ways......

I am excited for the opportunity to do this one better.

    Planning is definitely the key. If I know what I'm going to eat, I eat healthy. If I randomly grab something, it can go either way. Luckily, I'm making more healthy choices even when it's random. I have no junk food in my house, but I need to have more choices for healthy foods. Sometimes I have a craving for a certain texture and nothing to fill the need. It's a learning process.

    I've been on a roll for about a week now, and each morning I'm noticing that having my meals planned out and making a conscious decision not to stray from the plan is what's making me feel so good.

    I agree , what a difference in how I feel too when I choose Healthy Foods - No Junk Period_ I too curve the Mucus and positive thinking even when things are not going well in Life always carry me through . Staying away from the Fight to Flight mode really makes a difference with the Hypothalamus that controls many functions in our bodies - Good Blog - Enjoy your Weekend !! emoticon
