Day 67 Check In...

emoticon - 188 - 2 pounds up from yesterday, but I know it is just fluid, so no worries! I woke up with a puffy face and hands (could barely get my rings on). There is kind of a hidden NSV in this, though. Before I lost so much weight, I couldn't even tell when I was retaining water because I always looked puffy! I am getting much more in tune with my body now, so that is definitely an NSV! My only regret is that I won't have a loss to help my starfish team out this week. emoticon Darn hormones!!!

Exercise - 10 minutes playing with my new "toys"! See below.

Calories - 1238

Fiber - 30

Freggies - 5 today!

Water - emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

*************************

Another good day today (other than the weight gain)! Busy day at work, then home to straighten up a little.

DH called from work to say that he wouldn't be able to take me out tonight because he had a late meeting. emoticon Ok, let's see, how can we turn this around to a positive? Hmm...I know! We get to celebrate my birthday longer, because now he's going to take me out at a later date! Also, I got to spend some quality time with the kids, since we all went to Walmart together (I know, exciting night, right?) Actually it was! We had a lot of fun just being silly together...we're actually all pretty easily entertained! emoticon

We also picked up a hula hoop, jump rope and stretching band while we were there, so I can add a little variety to my workouts!

Ok, I have to tell you one thing that my 8 year old DD did before I wrap it up. Her birthday is tomorrow, and because of a conflict of schedule, we cannot have her party until next weekend. To help make up for it, I told her I would take her and one friend to Build A Bear tomorrow. I am so proud of her! That sweet little girl picked one of the "special" friends from her class to go with her! He is autistic and they have put him in her class for the last 3 years because he is comfortable with her and she works well with him. I called his mom to see if it would be ok with her and she was so excited! Kids like him aren't usually invited to do fun stuff like this! She is going to go with us to make sure he handles everything ok, which was great with me. I don't know her very well, but she seems like a sweet lady. So, you never know, maybe a new friend for me too!

So, although it wasn't the day I had planned, we made it a good one anyway! emoticon

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends! Thank you for reading my ramblings, and offering your words of encouragement and support! I appreciate you more than you will ever know!

I saw someone on Spark hula hoop team. I thought about joining but not ready to commit. I, too, took a pass on birthday dinner out....may have to order in. I love the way you look for a smile. Your daughter learned that from you. Hugs, Laurel emoticon

So funny I am hoping to take my boys to build a bear this weekend too- they all got gift cards for their birthdays and have never been. Looking forward to it! Have fun! Also love that you are getting so in-tuned with your body! emoticon

I was so touched by your sweet little daughter being so sweet to her special needs' friend. You must have done something right bringing her up. Wishing her a Happy Birthday, and a fun day at the "Build a Bear" store. I have gone several times with my grand daughters.
A Happy (belated) Birthday to you, too.

I love that your daughter has asked her special friend on the special birthday trip, that is so cool. Such a sweet little girl you have there. You should be so proud, mom.
Another note, the new toys/exercise equipment is very cool. I picked up a hula hoop about a week ago. You know how you feel in your mind that you can still do anything that you did when you were young? Well, I couldn't hula anymore. It took me several days to get going, but now I can go for a little bit, and I think it is whittling my waist. So cool, I think you will have a lot of fun with yours too. You really are doing so good, I am glad that the water is not bothering you and is an NSV instead. I like those kinds of things, where something bad turns into something good.
Have a great night sweet friend of a sweet daughter. emoticon
