Day Shift!!!!

Friday, May 24, 2013

I start school again in July (going from LVN to RN). Thank GOODNESS they approved my request to go to day shift!! And not only will I be going to day shift, but I'll be going to part time (only two days per week). This will make life a lot easier on me, especially during school.

And this will be so much better for my health. My hormones should level out some. I'll be less in a fog and depressed like I have been. My weight will be more stable. I can establish some more healthy routines.

I definitely won't take it for granted!

Awesome! I know my hubby works nights and it is really hard for him since our family functions on a day schedule and school is now out. My 9 year old has to learn quiet time. I hope all goes well with school and congrats and making the move to be an RN going back to school is never easy.

Congrats on getting the day shift!! It does make a world of difference for you and your family. My mom is an RN and she worked nights while I was growing up. When she switched to days it was GREAT!

Also, I just found your blog and you have inspired me to push harder. Thank you so much.

Reading this is making me think more and more about my barriers to success. I am always tired, and I cave into skipping my workouts now. This might, in part, be due to working 2 jobs (50-60 hrs/week). Might need to make some changes like you did.

Glad they approved it for you. I have no idea how people lead a normal life working night shifts. Makes me appreciate my 9 to 5 Monday to Friday job so much more. You will have more time to focus on the most important person - yourself!
