FIRST THING IN THE MORNING

Many of us wake up feeling bad or feeling guilty. We wake up with something on our minds that we are been worried about or something we have done that we shouldn’t have done. Rather than waking up thinking about the things we dread to do and the negative things happening in our lives, we need to wake up with God first on our minds. He wants the first of our day. He can set us on the right path for the day so we are thinking about Him all day and doing His will.

Psalm 92:2 “It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening,” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us to put You first when we wake up every morning. You tell us to give You ten percent of all we have and that does include our time. You tell us you want the first and best of who we are and that includes our rising out of bed. We want to stop the worry and the guilt we have when we first wake up. Help us to create a pattern that will include You all day in our lives and especially first thing in the morning. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We should go to God first thing in the morning to thank Him for who He is and ask for Him to guide us through the day.

When we go to God first thing in the morning, He will help us get our day on track.

Rather than worrying or feeling guilty about things when we first wake up, we should go to God and thank Him for all He is, ask Him to forgive our sins and show us a better way today.

Knowing that God is forgiving and loving, we should go to Him first thing in the morning when we have the burdens of life on our minds.

God can set us on the right path for the day when we make the choice to spend the first part of our day with Him.

God tells us to read His word, make time with Him in the morning and follow His will all day.

Ecclesiastes 11:6 “Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both.” (NLT)

Thank you for your prayer! I read it early this morning (for me) and will keep it mind throughout the day.
