I sort of fell of the band wagon with blog writing. Not being able to do it on my phone makes it difficult but I will try to get better about it. I am proud to say that I finished Week 1 of C25K and am almost finished with Week 2. Week 1 really wasn't that bad. Day 1 of Week 2 was another story. It was def. harder and I had to push mentally to get through it. HOWEVER! Day 2 was easier all things considered. I had really contemplated pushing my day 2 until the next day because I had had a paper to write and it was 5:30 by the time I got to the gym. I was not in the mood and I was starting to feel crappy from my allergies. Nevertheless I made it to the gym. The first 7 mins were not pretty because I kept complaining in my head and just really beating myself. I finally had had it and said listen, you're here, you're getting a workout, now shut up and just do it. Think about your goals and why you want to be there. After my mini pep talk it was A LOT easier. Again, not a walk in the park, but I didn't feel like I was going to die.
I am proud to say that up until today I have been to the gym every day this week. Today was different because I am watching my cousins so I wasn't able to get a workout in after class and before I had to be there. BUT! I am still really proud of myself. Spark people has my weekly calorie burn at 650, and I am already at 1107 so I am blowing it out of the water!!!
Overall I feel really good. I have more energy, I feel like I am getting more accomplished in my days instead of just wasting hours either in bed or on the couch. I have routine. I am learning that I like routines!
I have lost about a pound though it doesn't show on my tracker because I thought m starting weight was different than it actually was, but I know that I lost it and that means more to me to know that I did.
I also have discovered a new 5K that I want to train for. I am planning on doing the Color Run in October already, but I found out about a new one. I work at a renaissance faire in the summer and we are hosting a 5k called the KNight's Quest 5k. It is the perfect combination of every 5k because it will have color, mud, obstacles, MEDIEVAL ZOMBIES!, and flames for you to jump over!!! I am sooooo pumped for this 5k that it makes me even more determined!
