Mind-set Makeover: Don't beat yourself up.
Every time you start to say something negative about yourself today, pause and consider what you would say to a friend in that same situation. We spend a lot of time beating ourselves up, and it only makes your weight-loss journey that much more arduous. The only way to reach your goals is to learn to treat yourself with love and respect. Though it won't happen overnight, you can start with these small steps.

Instead of viewing excuses or hurdles as setbacks, talk yourself out of your excuses. Think back on the last time you made an excuse to skip a workout, eat something you know wasn't going to help your goals, or waver from your plan. What was the excuse? Were you tired, stressed, too busy, overwhelmed? Did you feel like you were depriving yourself, pushing too hard, or getting out of balance? Whatever that big excuse tends to be, plan a pep talk TODAY to talk yourself out of it next time it comes up.
Life will always be busy. Stress will always happen. Unexpected events will always come up. But this is true for everyone. Healthy, fit or thin people don't have magical lives--they just better cope with these events and are able to stay on track. YOU can do it, too.
