Although I had a good fitness day, I had one situation that really got me mad. I was doing a timed 1,000 yard swim. I got in right after they finished kindergarten swim class, so there was no one else in the pool. The staff member was putting the lane lines back in when I got there. I got into my lane and took off. I had completed 400 yards, feeling pretty good when someone tapped my leg as I was pushing off the wall. I stopped - couldn't hear what the staff member was saying so I had to lift up my cap. I couldn't believe it. She stopped me to move me into the next lane over because she had a swimming lesson. She was there when I got in - didn't ask for the lane before I started my swim and had the rudeness to think that what she was doing was any more important than what I was doing. I shouldn't have, but I moved. Needless to say the timed swim was blown! Now, I've taught enough swimming lessons in my day to know that you do not have to be immediately beside the student you are teaching. Then to add insult to injury, when I got out of the pool, I discovered that there was not another person in the pool. She could have taught her student at any of the other 3 walls instead of interrupting my swim. Needless to say, I was not happy. I hate it when people are so inconsiderate of anything besides what they are doing.
Thank goodness I got my other workouts in OK today.
