One more day until the 3 day Memorial Day weekend! Woohoo!
This week has been a week of awesome celebrations!
On Monday, it was my birthday. I celebrated becoming 27 with my hubby, parents and sisters. Of course that meant going out to eat. Yikes. I made up for it by not eating as much at lunch time at work.
On Wednesday, yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary! Yep, 2 days after my birthday we got married. It was special. I cannot believe that 4 years have gone by already! That’s craziness! For our anniversary dinner, all I ate were a few grapes and water.......*ahem*…..no, who am I kidding? I, of course, ate an awesome Cajun chicken linguine but it was a small portion so that was good. I could have eaten A LOT more bread from the basket, but I resisted and kept to my smaller portions. Yay for small victories!
As I am writing this at my desk, I can feel my aching stomach plummet over my dress pants in agony. This week has been crazy ever since I did yoga on Tuesday. I think I stretched way too far or something and now my whole body aches. My stomach though right now feels like a huge balloon. Maybe my stomach hurts because I’ve been sucking it in all morning and now that I’m the only one in the office, I can let it all hang out. Haha.
My awesome hubby surprised me with a massage membership where I can get a massage every month! I am getting a massage tonight so I hope that helps relieve some of my aches and pains. My hubby knew that this was the perfect gift for me. RELAXATION! AHHH! SO EXCITED!
Anybody have any fun plans for the holiday weekend?
My hubby, pups, and I are just staying in town and relaxing. We have been hooked on the tv show ‘MASTERCHEF’ with Gordon Ramsey. Now I feel like cooking nice things darn it. I’m lazy when it comes to cooking so this is a huge step for me. Like I want to cook risotto’s and lobster now after watching the show. Yikes! Haha.
4 hours until my massage! I’m not counting down or anything.
Couch to 5k has been going very well this week. Week 3 almost finished! Of course on our anniversary, when we woke up at 5:30am, I said “Honey, let’s just run after work today so we can sleep some more since it’s our anniversary today.” He said nope and I hauled myself out of bed all exhausted and got into my sexy running gear. We went outside, did our workout and I was super proud that I didn’t give in to sleeping in and putting off the workout until later. I just need to remember that feeling next time when I feel like sleeping in. I am NOT a morning person but I can do this and it feels good. Tomorrow is our last workout for the week before the weekend of rest. I tell you, my husband is freaking Speedy Gonzales! He starts running and I can barely keep up with him. I told him to keep on going and worry about himself and I will go at my own pace. I just cannot believe how fast he goes when I can barely go any faster. I wish I could keep up with him and sometimes I feel like I had failed because I was a few yards behind him. But, no, I did not fail. I did it at my own pace and did not stop. I completed the workout. Everyone runs at their own pace.
Funny note. I switched my Pandora radio station from alternative endurance music to classic rock power workout music this week. Well, I immediately loved all the songs that kept me motivated to run……except as I was running up a hill, ‘Highway to Hell’ popped on . I get so motivated and into my music when I run so when I heard this song come on I was like, oh my goodness……I kept on saying to myself….”I can do this I can do this…..sorry Jesus about the song that’s on….my objective is not to go on a highway to Hell…..it’s to get up the freaking hill! “ Guess I should just focus on the rhythms and beats if that song comes on again.
BLEH! MY STOMACH!
If my muffin top and a blueberry muffin top were in a contest, mine would win!
Holy crappola, I am seriously bloated!
Crap. Now I have ‘Highway to Hell’ playing in my head. Fricken A!
Oh well, I’m just rambling at this point now…..everyone enjoy their weekends!
