Happy Thursday, Sparkland!
I know it isn't much, but I've managed 2 workouts this week. They have been short. They have been half hearted. But I've gotten up and done them. Today was a 10 minute Billy Banks workout. I love those workouts, and they are good workouts. I need to get back into the longer workouts, but right now if I can just get out of bed, get a workout done, do something around the house, and make a smoothie - before 6:30am - I'm happy! I lay back down and sleep some again before going to work. Most of the time I'm awake enough that I don't need to lay back down, but I WANT to. So I do. End of story.
I am going to hit the store after work today. I need some new headphones and I need to get some play money for my rewards jar. I mean, who carries cash around these days?? (for those who missed it, I am going to reward myself with $1 per workout and $1 per day in calorie range) I'll use the play money to track, and I will make my reward purchases accordingly. If my purchase does not come to the full amount that I earned, I will keep the "change" in the jar to carry over. Those decorative stones will be my "punishment" markers. One color will be for a missed workout and I'll have to do 10 squats at the end of the month for each missed workout. Another color will be for days not in calorie range. I will do 10 pushups at then end of the month for each day missed. So, here are my first 4 rewards:
I think hula-hooping will be a fun and different type of workout to keep me going on days that I really don't want to.
I think the versitility of these bands will help me to do some more intense ST at home - my bands are just not cutting it.
Because I want it!
I haven't decided yet between 10 or 15lb kettlebell, but I'd like to try a workout with one since I've never done anything with them before!
I think these rewards will help me to keep a workout on the books even if I don't want to go to the gym. I'm having such a hard time getting to the gym that I just need to have some new workouts at home that I am excited about. I will have to make due with what I've got until the end of June, but at least I've got something to look forward to!
