Mistakes

This has not been a good food week for me. At. All. In fact, I have done worse this week than I have done in ages! The end of the school year is approaching, and I have allowed the laziness to seep into my food intake. I have, at least, realized it and make a conscious effort to do better today. But I know that it's got to be a long term fix. I can tell that I am bloated (PMS is not helping either!), and my fingers are a little swollen. And it blows my mind how much of a difference shows in my face!

I am choosing not to focus on my mistakes though. I messed up. And that's okay. I'm a human, and mistakes happen. I do have it within myself to correct it, and that's what I am choosing to do. So, I am starting over. After all, the food has been not-so-good.

But the working out has been AWESOME!!! After today, I will have made it 5 solid weeks in my class without missing a day! HUGE achievement for this girl!

Monday's workout was called "Pain," and it was actually pretty fun. We did some step, arms, and stomachs. We were on the mat for 20 minutes working our cores!

Tuesday's workout was called "Rain," which was perfect because it rained outside and we sweated to the point of Rain. We did a LOT of squatting that day. I could not keep up with the instructor on the tough squats, so I went my own pace. And I managed to get in at least 10 reps of everything. Actually, there was only 1 exercise that was less than 20! I had a great workout that day, and the Devil Woman even said it after class! My favorite part was that we ended with "the rumble." I love doing that now that I have it down! It was awesome to go into class stressed and icky and leave feeling downright cheery!

Yesterday, I was sore for the first time all week, and I was tired. So, I was not quite so graceful in class. But I made it through okay, and it wasn't too terrible. There was only one exercise I simply could not physically do, so I felt good about it. I did at least 15 of everything else. We focused on stomachs and arms again yesterday. My poor arms are like jello today! We used bars, and I like the bars. They make me feel like I am tap dancing, lol.

Tonight will be our last class until Tuesday! :( So, I am sad about that a little, but I thnk it will be good to have a break and chill with the family for Memorial Day. I hope she makes it count because we have got to make it last for four days! :) But then again, it looks like severe weather might be coming... so maybe we won't even have class! Hummm... :)

    You might be able to do a little on your own? Hate for anyone to suffer separation anxiety from exercise :)

Not sure if your diet will allow it, but have you ever tried a little ginger and honey in a beverage? They are natural diuretics. It's not for everyone.

Hope you get over your soreness, and sounds like fantastically phenomenal progress! Keep up the good work. One day or one week slip does not a backslider make .... emoticon
