follow up blog for Interview

Thursday, May 23, 2013

My interview went well. I think they liked me a lot. They want to call me back next Friday (May 30th) for a follow-up interview. I applied and interview at Marriott. They are going to open a new hotel in downtown Omaha in the old Federal building. They were impressed with all that I know about Omaha and I told them that I can inform their customers about what there is to do in Omaha.
The job is a breakfast host. I would be working from 5:00 am till about noon. They want me to greet customers and make them feel comfortable. Makes me remember my grandmother and how she made everyone feel welcome. That is what I want to do. Before I go back to my next interview I want to do some research into the history of Omaha. I want to give them examples of what to do in Omaha and examples of why I love Omaha.
The only problem will be getting my son up and to school when the new school year starts. I am hoping he can car pool with another student and I can pick them up after school.
Yesterday I bought some seeds to start my own herb garden. I live in apartment and donít have lots of space. I have Lemon Balm, Catnip (for the cats), Parsley, Dill, and Basil. I will take pictures as they grow.
Last weekend my neighbor gave me some fresh Basil and I used it on my homemade pizza.

Wishing you luck on your job. It sounds interesting! I have never tried an herb garden, mostly because I don't cook enough! Are you planting them all in the same pot? emoticon

I love herbs, have a large yard and never get around to growing them. Good luck and enjoy.
