yesterday i had the day off of work, so i decided to head to a local(ish) park and reintroduce myself to running! let me tell you...it wasnt pretty haha. i have been doing 30 day shred and p90x, and they have NOT been getting my cardio level where it should be (i.e. i doubled my heart rate on my run yesterday haha from where it is during circuit training).
so anyway, i head out on the trail...i probably jogged about a mile, walked about half mile, jogged a quarter mile, etc. until i was at 3 miles. now this is not HORRIBLE for a first time out, but last time i was running i could run 3 miles straight, no problem. annddd my breathing was HORRENDOUS haha people were looking up at me in horror!!! (ok, maybe not in horror, but i was definitely huffing and puffing).
the one thing that sucked was that i didnt have any music, and i have never ever ever run without music, so i think that was part of the reason that i didnt push myself quite as hard as usual.
the good part: ive officially re-caught the running bug, and i've officially bought new headphones :)
the other bad part: i reallllllly dont want to run in my neighborhood, and i dont think that i will have time on most days to drive to the park. oh well i will figure something out! cardio here we commeee
