Still not tracking, but still not gaining as much.

Although I was complaining yesterday, it's amazing what the scale will do each day. I got over 10,000 steps yesterday and the scale has gone down a pound with little effort. Without tracking my weight did go back up to 180 from the recent low of 172, but I haven't really gained since then, it just goes back and forth about 4 pounds.
I am eating more fruits and veggies than I was a few months ago. I am getting out more and gardening and walking and even GeoCaching (mom says one of her friends wants to go with us next time!).
This is a new normal for me. I have ingrained into my head many healthy habits that seem to be no-brainers for me. Sure, I could keep complaining about the "I should have" moments, but all I can do is go forward from the moment I'm in. I can get to my goal weight by the end of the year. It may be much slower than I originally was going. I'll be doing half a pound a week now instead of 1.9 pounds per week (which is what I was averaging for the first 50). I may not be totally into the losing weight mode anymore like I was for that first 50.
I may just have to change my tracker on my page to something different, like fitness minutes or some other lofty goal that they allow me so I can reset my mind. It's no longer essential for me to lose so quickly anymore, it's more about keeping myself active and eating healthy. I know I could easily go back to sitting on the couch and playing video games all day while snacking on candy, but I don't want that to be me all the time. I like the active me because being active makes it easier to get around and do things with the family. It was so much harder to get out with the kids and do things 50 pounds ago, now it's easier to play with them and carry the heavy groceries in up those 2 flights of stairs. I like that my muscles are easier to use.
I won't go back to the way I was!
