Two weeks in.

I wanted to take a minute to possibly encourage anyone who is starting from a completely sedentary lifestyle, and intimidated by hurt and burn of exercise. I was just that two weeks ago. I could barely walk down the street with my daughter. I started with pushing myself to do just a mile and it was really hard for me, but then after a few days I added a hill with a 45% incline, which was even more challenging. I soon added more time, with more inclines.
I am lucky to have a wonderful workout buddy. He is my neighbor, and he is in really good shape. He motivates me to get out of my comfort zone. I am now up to about 4 miles a day, going up the "hill from hell" twice in one walk.
Yes, it hurts. I get very winded. But I can now walk up that hill twice without stopping for a breather. I started that hill barely able to make it to the top!
Again, this is just in two weeks time. Our bodies are amazing! We can abuse them for years and years, and yet they can adjust and strengthen up quickly!
The first week, I lost 7 pounds. I didnt think I would lose more than 2 pounds because of my age and the fact that I have had three children.
I don't drink soda, I only drink water and coffee, and the occasional glass of wine. I quit eating junk food. Only "clean" food. If I want something sweet, I will have a small piece of dark chocolate. I adjusted my eating habits, but did not deprive myself of anything really.
What amazes me the most is, in just two weeks time, my pants are all loose. My jowls on my face are gone! Thank God! My back fat is starting to disappear.
I feel amazing! I am proud of my accomplishments. I am motivated to continue and do more.
This is just in two weeks. I went from a couch potato to feeling energized, motivated and younger. Its never to late to start exercising and adopting a more healthier lifestyle.
You are capable of more than you think! Your body is an amazingly designed machine that is meant to move, that needs it. Challenge yourself for just two weeks and see and feel the results of all your hard work! After two weeks, you wont want to stop.
