Not much to blog about today, trying to squish it all in and get it all done. Making another trip to Detroit for some Wings hockey with my son. Gonna be tough to get the steps in today, but should have lots of stairs again!

last Saturday my granddaughter Carrie ran her first 5k with the Girls on the Run program. If you are not familiar with the program, check it out! It is an awesome program for girls. Carrie is in the second row, second from the right.

Carrie ran with my daughter Michelle. Her older sister, Michaela ran with my son-in-law Alex.

Here are a few photos of the running bunch!

They look pretty good for just running 5k, huh? Of course, I guess I have a vested interest in this group!

Enjoy your day everyone!!!

Wow, good for them. I think the "girls on the run" is a great program. Cute kids too! Have fun at the game tonight and good luck getting your steps in!

That is awesome. I have a niece-ette (great niece) age 4 that ran her first 1 mile fun run this year. Her mother started running last year and has done phenomenally.

We are all doing a mud run obstacle course in June. I can't wait.

(We = me, my boys, my sisters, their daughters --I don't think their sons are participating--, and my niece-ette is doing a 1 miler again.

I just love to see the healthy habits start at an early age.

NOthing wrong with being a little vested !! What a great program and even better that the whole family participate.. what great things they are teaching those girls..

I know one day you will be posting a picture of you after your 5k with them. Even if you have to walk it... you can do it..
