It is storming here again! Please be safe!

Thursday, May 23, 2013

I woke to rain hitting the skylight. The areas hit by Sunday and Monday's tornadoes are getting rain. There are flash flood warning out. There is some hail. Later today and for several days they say there is a possibility of tornadoes!! Please everyone be safe! It sometimes takes something like what has happened in Oklahoma to bring out the good in people. I sometimes get down on folks and their attitudes. But when something like this happens it brings out the best. Our school where some of the tornado victims go to school (the coaches who run the program) have cancelled the baseball camps, so the Kids can help out in various areas of Our community. And believe Me when I say that is a big deal. Our school live eats and breathes basket and baseball,. The kids are working out in the hard hit areas and at the school which is a drop off place for donations. We went up to the school to let Mr R run last night and there were people dropping items. The area Cowboy Church was set there. Makes Your heart swell with pride!! I know the media has focused on Moore because it was so big, but the folks in our area and other areas that were hit Sunday are hurting just as badly! Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated by those effected! Thank You! As We are come up to a long weekend~no matter what You do Please be safe and stay weather aware!! I love Y'all!! I am not surprised that Oklahoma residents are pitching in. When I used to travel to OKC on business, I found the people to be some of the most welcoming and kind in the whole country - salt of the earth.
    Please be safe yourself, too.

Please stay safe! My heart and prayers to the victims of Sunday and Mondays tornadoes. My mom talks to a lady who lost her daughter to the tornado. The loss of any life is tragic especially somebody who was only 9.

Glad people are getting things they need but sorry you're all having to deal with the rain on top of all the damage. No one can imagine that until they've been through it.

We are all keeping our eyes on the forecast as well. It seems the tornados are trying to make up for a relatively calm spring!

We've been having bad storms here too, but nothing comparable to what you have endured. Please stay safe!

The only thing that makes tragedies like this bearable is the good people that always open their hearts to help. How wonderful that the kids are pitching in to help out. The "helpers" really warm my heart.

I'm praying for your family and everyone affected by these terrible storms.

Sorry about the baseball camps being cancelled, but the kids as well as the rest of the community will benefit more from their help!
    Stay safe, my friend! (((HUGS)))
