Chipmunk Cheek

First it was swollen from a slight infection, now my right cheek is swollen from trauma. All was going well until my tooth broke. A tiny tip stubbornly remained, After about nine attempts he was finally able to extract the piece which was the size of a glass pin head.
Needless to say it was quite an experience.
Food choices were limited. Nothing hot, no straws. I did stray a bit. planning ahead for healthier options of soft cool smooth foods, made me drift toward the carb heavy side. I allowed myself many splurges, one of which was plain kefir yogurt with raw honey. I rationalized the honey because of the supposed antibacterial qualities. Truthfully I did not feel like eating much. Ice packs and Vicodin saw me through the day.

Today's fare has expanded to warm foods and I can chew on the opposite side. I still desire carb heavy foods. With every situation I still have choices. So what to choose? Perhaps a nice green protein smoothie will help.

    Wow, you have been through it!

You have a far better attitude than I in that kind of situation.

I drank a lot of warm V8 juice. Hummus can be slurped down pretty easily also.

    Oh I am so sad for your misery. Darn, it sounds like if anything could possibly go wrong, it did. Baby yourself as much as possible. emoticon

    Awwww, glad it's all behind you now, but hope for quick healing. Honey actually IS a good option . . . it does have antibacterial properties and is low glycemic so son't sky rocket the blood sugar (in proper amts., of course!)
