You Can Ring My Bell

Thursday, May 23, 2013

I don't remember if I've mentioned the tinnitus I've had for the last couple of years. The ringing is high-pitched, and more noticeable at home where it's quieter than at work. I sleep with various noise machines going (really like the Sleep Pillow and SleePhones apps - I have the Sleep Pillow going on the iPhone and the SleePhones going to earphones from the iPad. Found out that if I have the headphones going to the phone, that even with the ringer turned off, I can hear the calls. That'll shock you out of sleep!) I had an appointment for audiology yesterday - got up early (my day off) & got there for an 8 AM appt. Only to find it was rescheduled for next Wed. They tried to tell me I'd made the appt for Wed way back in Jan when I was so sick I had to cancel my appt I'd waited 4 months for already. I NEVER make appts for Wed - it's one of my start days for my work week. Fortunately, my schedule was changed for next week, and I go in @ 2330 (11:30P) Sheesh. I've looked on the American Tinnitus Association site (www.ATA.org) and it looks like 5 out of 8 of my meds may cause the ringing. Yeah (not)

I'm glad you're home
Now did you really miss me
I guess you did by the look in your eyes
(look in your eyes, look in your eyes)

Well lay back and relax while I put away the dishes
(put away the dishes)
Then you and me can rock-a-bye

You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell

The night is young and full of possibilities
Well come on and let yourself be free
My love for you, so long than I've been savin'
Tonight was made for me and you

You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell
You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell

you can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong)
you can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong, ring it!)
you can ring my bell, anytime, anyway
(ring it, ring it, ring it, ring it oww!)
you can ring my bell, anytime, anyway
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong)

you can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong)
you can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong, ring it!)
you can ring my bell, anytime, anyway
(ring it, ring it, ring it, ring it oww!)
you can ring my bell, anytime, anyway
(ding, dong, ding, do-ong)

I remember this song as a teen and the adults rolling their eyes saying how bad it was. emoticon I thought it was a Donna Summer song.

I am sorry about your tinnitus. I had it for a very short time and it was horrible. I can't imagine having it for 2 years!! I hope your doctor can help you. Do you know that William Shatner has the same problem? It happened when he was filming one of the Star Trek episodes years ago.

Have a good day today. Love, Chelsea
