That is what I told myself today. So I did.
It was another hot day, and humid too, but I went out and ran after lunch. I know it was not the smartest time of day to run, but I made it 1.5 miles in just 13 minutes, so I wasn't out there too long. Still got sweaty. (Then again it was the kind of day where just breathing made me sweaty.) I even got Cooper to walk just a little farther this morning. Of course then he didn't want to walk the rest of the day. He is definitely not comfortable in hot weather. I bet he wishes I had air conditioning! It is funny, when he is riding in my dad's truck he sticks his nose right in the vents for the cold air from the AC. Talk about a cold nose, which he promptly sticks on me!
I have more appointments tomorrow, but I am going to get out and do another short run. I need to improve my stamina for running outside, even if it is hot. I thought about going to the gym to run today, as they have AC and fans. I decided to run outside though, as I won't have the AC for the 5k in June. Besides, I find running outside harder than running on the treadmill, so I need to get used to running outside, so I don't die during that 5k.
I did pretty good with food today. It was too hot to overeat. I had a weird dinner. Ice cream, strawberries and brussel sprouts (not all together). Tasty, but that was all I wanted to eat. I picked a hot day to do some baking as well. I didn't plan it that way, but I decided to bake muffins this evening. I restrained myself and only ate two fresh out of the oven (and I tracked them). I used a recipe from Sparkrecipes, and I have to say they came out pretty darn good. Now I have quick, healthy breakfast food for a few days. I have been eating light for breakfast, and wanted something a little more filling than just fruit for breakfast for a few days.
Overall it was a decent day. I made myself get out and run, walked the dog three times, did two SP ST videos, and read a book. Sounds like a good way to spend the day.
