The Word of God is to be applied to ALL areas of our lives including this Journey of a Lifetime we are on. Our Lifestyle of Health and Fitness for as long as we live! Our way WILL be Prosperous and we WILL have GREAT Success!
I started this journey weighing 233 pounds after years of BELIEVING that I was MEANT to be overweight. I spent my younger years sitting in the house ashamed to go outside in public. I would send my little cousins to the corner store or burger joint for my goodies. I ate 2 of most everything I wanted: 2 Burger specials, 2 fish sandwiches, 2 cherry mashes, and even drink 2 diet sodas!
That was EMOTIONAL eating!!!
I was 18 on this picture...sad...no hope for change at that time. Senior picture.
I lost 20lbs the summer before I entered the 8th grade. I KNEW I had to work hard during that time. I would go in my room and workout to my music for an hour each time. I even found some toning exercise demos in a book my mother had. Later when school started again I gained it back eating cookies out of the cafeteria. THAT was emotional eating too! I wanted a fairy godmother to instantly take the weight off. I felt helpless.
Doesn't that happen while adults as well? We make strides then we don't see the changes we desire and we become discouraged as if we were the only ones not seeing changes. It happens all the time. But...
Anytime I've made a conscience effort to DO all I can to reap the rewards of successful results I came out on top! That's in ANY area. There's no easy fixes!
THAT'S THE TRUTH!
When you start changing your life it takes time and one step at a time. At first changes may come quickly but if they stop don't think you've gone as far as possible. It's PERSEVERING that gets the SUCCESS!!! Each day is a STEP to GREAT success!
When we get off track and attempt the quick fixes...
...Is where we end up!
Can you just imagine?!
In some ways we think this will actually work. The process must happen!
For me to get this far I had to go through stages. Times of weightloss. Times of discouragement. Times of frustration. Times of why is it not going as fast. One step at a time. I was 50lbs down on this picture:
It took forever to get where I am now it seemed. From gains and binges and injuries. Yep I was really frustrated BUT I finally LET GO and LET GOD lead me in what got me over the biggest HUMP ever. A NEW eating plan and FAITH that I would get the weight and inches off. AND IT HAPPENED!!!
Times when you think you're alone remember that our Father says He will NEVER leave or forsake us NO! NEVER!!! That's WORD!!!
There really are NO SHORTCUTS TO SUCCESS! He's CARRYING Us When We REALLY Need It!!!
Enjoy your midweek services or whatever you do. Be Joyful!
Love & Blessings!
