Rewards and Punishment

I am wearing a body shaper today. I am so uncomfortable with my few pound gain in the last few weeks that I am wearing a suck-it-in-body-shaper. That makes me sad. The last time I wore this thing was 30lbs ago. And it is still uncomfortable - how did I even breathe back then?

Bottom line - things have obviously taken a turn for the worse with my plans. Time to bribe myself.

A couple of options I am considering right now:

2 jars. $50 in $1's at the beginning of the month. For every workout I do I'll move $1 to the other jar (up to $20) and for every day I'm in calorie range I'll move over another $1 (up to $30). I could have up to $50 for a treat at the end of the month.

In addition to that I think I'll "punish" myself. For every day I skip a workout I have to do 10 push ups at the end of the month and for every day I DON'T eat within range maybe 20 squats or something.

I think I will also search Pinterest and see if I can get any good ideas from there too. One way or another I need to GET BACK ON TRACK!!! No more messin' around - it's all business now!

    Great idea! Rewards can definitely motivate us ; )! Sorry your are feeling uncomfortable lately I sure know how that feels. Getting a few good days behind you with your morning smoothies should start to help you feel better quick! Stay focused and stay positive! emoticon

    Wow, both ideas are great. I know you can do it! I'm kind of in the same boat, but for me I realized that I need to go back to what I loved and what worked for me from the start-- boxing!

    Love both ideas! I wish there was a magic foolproof means of getting on track, staying on track and doing everything that you should do. I don't know why that is so stink'n hard! Diet is always my weakness. Shouldn't be, but is. emoticon

    I'm totally in the same boat right now.... serious. I don't know what triggers it, but it sends me spiraling in the 'I'm so not motivated' land of misfits.... I hope these ideas work for you though! They sound like good ideas!
