New Fruit of the Day

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

I've been bored with my standard apple/banana rotation. I even turned to canned fruit in juice to break up the boredom. Then I found these beauties.

They must be in season, as they were the same price as regular pears. They were called White Pears, but I understand they are also called Asian Pears.

More fiber, less sugar and so crisp and juicy! They reminded me a little of an apple, especially due to the crispness. Yum - a real treat.

Just wanted to share

If you ever get the chance, try white peaches! Absolutely the best!

I haven't met a fruit I don't like. These look delicious. Soon you might find blueberries and strawberries at farmers markets. Don't miss out on those!! emoticon

Sounds yummy - I will have to check them out. I too am getting a little sick of apples/bananas/grapes. I got peaches last time at the market. They are a little under ripe, but still good.

Yes, they are yummy especially when they are ripe. We also call it Asian fruit. Enjoy your hunt for new fruits to eat.
