Week #3: Paleo - Feeling a little better

I have had a TON of drama in my life this month.
A drunk driver drove INTO my house.
My 14 year old dog died.
My running partner is leaving me to move to Hawaii with her military husband.
Despite all this, I have stayed the course on Paleo eating.
I have lost 3 pounds so far, with a little over a week left to go in the month.
My energy levels are returning slowly. I am learning to balance my carbs with my activity level for that day. If I want to go for a longer run, then I know I need to eat a few more carbs in the 12-18 hours before the run. Otherwise, I'm trying to stay under 100 g carbs per day.
I feel tighter in my belly area. We'll see what the measurements say at the end of the month!
I have decided that I will allow dairy back into my diet. I have missed it way more than pizza and bread!
I have been slacking off on my sleep just a little bit, as I have been trying to work on rebuilding our house after all the damage done by the drunk driver. I think some of that will slow down a bit now, so I will recommit to getting to bed earlier and trying to relax for the last half hour before bedtime.
Hopefully the rest of my year will be drama-free!
