"You get whatever you settle for."

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

Yesterday was a super long day. I didn't meet any of my goals. I didn't choose food well. I didn't exercise other than getting in over 3600 steps.

"You get whatever you settle for."~ Unknown. Yesterday I guess I settled for letting life get in the way. Today I'm off to a slow start and have a ton to do. My leg hurts for some reason and I'm tired from driving what seems like nonstop for the last several days. It really hasn't been, I just haven't had to take marathon work trips in awhile. I can't really complain because I need the paycheck. I just feel run down today for some reason. I should be able to handle the business of life but after living at a much slower pace recently, I guess I need to rebuild my stamina.

Goals for today:

emoticon 96oz of water at least emoticon

emoticon Earn at least 25 points on workshop task list emoticon

emoticon Complete at least 2 reports emoticon

emoticon Track today even if best choices aren't made emoticon

emoticon Read for at least 20 minutes

More work meaning more pay is good. But a leg that hurts when you aren't exercising it isn't so good. You don't say which leg, but if it is the one you use for most of your driving it may be protesting being in the car with little rest for so long. If it continues you might want to check in with your MD as arm and leg pains that spring up suddenly can be a sympton of something else.
Well yesterday happened and you didn't make good choices or meet your goals. Today was better, at least for the goals being met. We all have those kind of life justs sidelines us for a bit days. And the days when we don't make the best choices food wise. Look at what happened, think how you could be prepared for another day like this and then let it go. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. And the journey is about one day, even one step at a time. Stay with it, you have come a long way!

I hear you lady!!! I'm in a rut... more like a canyon or a crater... I can't seem to beat this sinus crap and it is really wearing me down! I am so tired of coughing! My chest muscles should be in great shape!

This is a lifetime journey and we are doing the right thing by staying focused on our goals one day at a time...

Glad you are getting more busy for work, but I know what you mean about stamina. I usually work 2 days/20 hrs a week and whenever I add extra shifts to fill in for people, it wipes me out! Keep your mind set on your goals for today and I know you can achieve them! STAY STRONG!
