I am a couple days into week 4 of Insanity and I am still loving it.My results from Week 3 of Insanity are I was up 1.5 pounds on May 13th but this week I am down one pound, 1% of body fat and 3 inches! I get more satisfaction out of losing inches and body fat than pounds on the scale. Muscle is smaller than fat so that is where the real results are for me. I decided to take a peek a what month 2 has in store for me. I just kept saying OMGosh I think I am going to die...that lasted about 2 minutes then I thought to myself you never thought you could do Insanity before; failed at it twice before but look at you this time...YOU ARE ROCKIN' IT! So right there and then I decided to put the negative voice away because it won't do me any good to talk to myself like that anyways. I have been telling myself all week this is easy, it is preparing for what is ahead, you got this. I just find is so wonderful to workout at home when time permits instead of joining a gym, possibly hiring a personal trainer, then working out when they have time for you or going to a fitness class once again at their schedule. The convenience of working out home is great for me. I always make sure to have the workouts done before my two teenagers get home to ensure I will be in a great mood for them and their silliness that they tend to bring home from time to time. I do know that I can tell when you workout harder you definitely need to eat more and of course it has to be high nutrient foods that are as clean (free from pesticides) as possible. I find myself craving protein when I workout real hard.
My favorite meal this week is:
1 can of kidney beans, rinsed
1 can black beans, rinsed
1 onion, diced
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 green pepper, chopped
1 package of Taco Seasoning (if desired)
1 cup of rice cooked
Put onions and green pepper in a pan with a little water(to prevent sticking) and saute them. Once that is complete add diced tomatoes, on medium/high heat keep stirring until bubbling then add in both types of beans & taco seasoning. Keep on burner, stirring occasionally until beans are heated all the way through. While you are waiting for everything to heat all the way prepare one cup of rice and that will be added to the mixture after everything is heated. Once heated you can eat as is or my family's favorite way is to put the mixture into a tortilla and wrap it up!
